Valerie was raised in Randolph, NJ. She came to Boston to attend Boston University and received a degree in Occupational Therapy. She enjoys hiking, camping,
skiing in the mountains, playing tennis, rollerblading, making pottery, and traveling.
Doron was born in Israel and left for Pittsburgh, PA when he was nine. He grew up in Pittsburgh and received a degree in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. He moved to Austin, Texas where he lived for five years and then relocated to Boston. Doron likes to hike, camp, ski, travel, cook, create pottery and stain glass, and scuba dive. He also enjoys remodeling and home repair.
Since our first date at the House of Blues in Harvard Square, we have
spent nearly two years getting to know each other and learning new
things (from drywall installation to the finer points of baking the
perfect cookie and many other essential life lessons). |
Together
we have taken a wheel throwing ceramics class as well as Jewish-Indian
cooking (yes, and came out alive). Traveling all
over the states has also been a favorite pass time. One of our latest joint
endeavors has been raising our puppy, Jax. We know we are a bit
biased, but he is the sweetest, cutest pug on the block!
We recently went on vacation to the Cayman Islands and had a fantastic time taking in the beautiful weather, clear blue waters, tropical foliage, and
relaxing pace of island life. We definitely had a hard time coming back to
the harsh New England winter!
Almost a year and a half after our first date, Doron popped the big question at the top of an amazing hike in Glacier National Park, Montana. After a moment of surprise, Valerie said
"YES!"
We look forward to seeing you all on the Big Day in August! |
